Things not to include in your resume
Written on Tuesday, June 24th 2008Like many people, I've had many different jobs in my lifetime. I've loved some and really hated others. But when it's time to start looking for a new job, there are some things about your old jobs you should keep to yourself.
Negativity during an interview is bad, even if it's negativity towards a company competitor or an ex-employer. Don't rant about how much you hated your last job (for whatever reason) or how you hated your last boss. Even if you're asked "What did you most dislike about our previous job?", stay positive and explain you're looking for a better situation.
Any personal information such as political affiliation, sexual preference, religious preference and other similar information should be kept to yourself. At least until you get the job!
There are a lot of things to take into account when you make your resume and interview for a new job, and a good first impression is important. For more resume tips, check the link below.
